Ball Maintenance & Resurfacing

A clean and fresh surface is an essential maintenance service for keeping your bowling ball in peak condition. After 30-40 games, the surface of a bowling ball accumulates dirt, oil, and grime from the lanes, which can affect its performance, including hook potential, consistency, and overall reaction. This service at Mojo Pro Shop is designed to restore the ball’s surface to its optimal state, ensuring it performs as intended.

Oil Extraction

We use the NuBall Bowling Ball Rejuvenator.

• Warms a bowling ball to a precise temperature (135 F) but not higher, so ball is not in danger.
• Ball rests on a specially designed stand inside the machine - the stand catches drips of oil for easy disposal.
• Heated air circulates so that rotating or turning the ball is not needed.
• Typical usage is 1 hour per ball.

Plugging & Re-drilling

The Plug and Re-Drill service is a specialized process offered at Mojo Pro Shop for bowlers who need to adjust or completely change the thumb and/or finger holes on their bowling ball. This service is ideal for bowlers who require a better fit, need to correct a previous drilling error, or wish to switch to/from conventional or fingertip, add/remove a thumb slug, JoPo Grips Twist, or Turbo sleeve for enhanced performance and durability.

Finger Grip Replacement

Changing the finger grips on a bowling ball is a crucial maintenance task that can significantly enhance your MOJO on the lanes. Keep that release feeling fresh!

PAP Identification

The Positive Axis Point (PAP) is a unique point on your bowling ball that is equidistant from every point of the ball’s track. It is determined by how you release the ball and varies for everyone. The reaction of the bowling ball on the lane is based on the distance between the pin and the PAP. Let Mojo Pro Shop help find yours.
